 Czapski binocular corneal surface microscope 1899

Siegfried Czapski‘s corneal surface microscope with stand was developed at Zeiss in 1899. Czapski soon added a movable source of illumination. Eventually the slit lamp biomicroscope evolved with the corneal surface microscope as its basis.
