Schweigers hand held perimeter 1888
Schweigers hand held perimeter was invented in 1888 as a design of Schweiger.
The arc’s position is shown on a circular scale attached at the rotation point.
The vertical rod with the slanted plate is placed against the lower rim of the eye socket of the eye being examined.
The Schweiger perimeter allowed perimetry to be done at the bedside or other non-examing-room settings.
