Set of hairs to test the corneal sensitivity
Gradually thicker hairs are used to test corneal sensitivity. In modern medicine a cotton tip applicator (Q-Tip) is often drawn out to produce threads and used for the same purpose. It seems a more sterile way of doing this test.
