Genothalmic retinoscope 1915

Genothalmic retinoscope is one of the early models that was supplied by electric current instead of reflected light or batteries.
It has a round angled mirror with a 2 mm opening in the center. The light focus can be adjusted by sliding the knurled ring at the base of the neck, up and down.
The silver colored ring at the top of the base is a rheostat to control brightness.
It used the “Transformer for Genothalmic Diagnostic Instruments” for its connection to the electric supply. This is marked as 115 volts and 60 cycle a.c. This transformer has a screw attachment for plugging into a lamp type of socket.
