The glass lens power is plano on top with approximately a +2.50 diopter, curve-top, bifocal add on the bottom.
This type of pince nez was put on by pinching the small metal front-protruding handles together to open up the nose pads.
Since the lenses do not rotate, any prescription, including astigmatic ones, can be put into the lenses by an optician.
