Liebreich military ophthalmoscopes represent the most simple type of non-self-illuminating ophthalmoscopes.
It was designed by Dr. Richard Liebreich for the military medical services in 1910.
There are two of these military ophthalmoscopes in one box. The mirrors have no deterioration. One is a plane mirror and the other is a concave mirror.
These mirrors are made of glass with silvered backs and with a hole in the center.
There are two metal rimmed condensing lenses. One is 12 diopters of power and the other is 20 diopters of power.
The two military ophthalmoscopes and lenses as well as the box are not signed. They are in excellent condition.
Richard Liebreich lived from 1830-1917. He was the first iconographer of the fundus oculi. (back of the eye)

The ophthalmoscopes are 8 inches long and the lenses are 1.5 inches across.
